Benjamin Devaud

DPT, CSCS

Ben is originally from Chapel Hill, North Carolina but moved to Idaho once his parents
completed their advanced degrees. Growing up in Idaho nurtured a fondness for
biology and sports (most notably soccer). Soccer then introduced him to the world of
physical therapy after a season ending injury (ACL, MCL, meniscus).
Upon completing his return to sports rehabilitation, he gained an appreciation for the
team dynamic fostered from his primary clinician. This ultimately inspired Ben to follow
his love for movement and science during his baccalaureate studies. While there, he
became even more motivated to challenge his body and creativity, leading him to the
artistic world of dance ranging from performances in modern, ballroom, and Hip Hop.
After he finished his graduate studies, he moved back to the PNW to be closer to family
and begin his professional endeavors. Ben’s goal is to individualize care and outfit
treatment to a patient’s specific needs. Foci range from: concussion rehab (vestibular,
ocular tasks, cognitive loading), progressive overload, activity specific body mechanics,
mobility enhancement, agility and speed generation, and power production.
